Special enrollment opportunities
STILL NEED COVERAGE FOR 2016?
Open Enrollment for a 2016 health plan is over. In some cases, you still may be able to get coverage this year.
Two ways to get coverage for 2016:
1. With a Special Enrollment Period
-
If you experience a life change — like getting married, having a baby, or losing health coverage — that qualifies you for a Special Enrollment Period, you may be able to enroll in a Marketplace plan outside Open Enrollment.

Not sure if you qualify? Just answer a few questions to find out.

Already know you do? To start an application, visit the quoting page. You may be asked to submit documents to verify your eligibility.
2. Through Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
IMPORTANT
If you don't qualify for either kind of coverage now, Open Enrollment for 2017 Marketplace health insurance starts November 1, 2016. Coverage can start as soon as January 1, 2017. You can sign up to get reminders so you don't miss deadlines or other important information.
